MFIA Certification is the benchmark accreditation of technical excellence in knowledge of financial products and markets, issued by BME Institute. The MFIA Certification is within the list authorized by the National Securities Market Commission (“CNMV”) that prove compliance with the guidelines set out by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) in order to meet MiFID II’s requirements.
This certification aims to offer the financial sector a rigorous standard of the highest quality in the sphere of financial products and markets, and consequently a guarantee that any professional holding the certificate has a top-level theoretical and practical background.
There are many accreditations in all sectors (languages, IT, accounting, finance etc.) whereby a renowned independent organisation can confirm the ability and knowledge of successful candidates. MFIA, however, is the only certification specialising in financial markets and products.
The MFIA targets employees in Finance Departments, those responsible for Control, Risk Management and Auditing, Fund Managers and those working in financial circles seeking top-class certification in financial markets and products, regardless of which departments they belong to.
