The increasing complexity of financial management, mainly due to the emergence of new sophisticated products, means professionals must now have in-depth knowledge of both traditional investing and financing methods, and also the new alternatives. In awareness of these needs and in a bid to furnish solutions for the financial community, in 2007 BME Institute introduced a Master in Financial Markets and Alternative Investments ("mFIA").
An ambitious programme, though extremely meticulous, in which we draw on our work and experience to provide the market with highly qualified professionals who will address challenges in their careers in the most resolute and creative manner.
Engineers, graduates in Economics, Business Administration and Management, Statistics, Physics or Mathematics in company departments working on Asset and Investment Management, Finance Departments, and those responsible for Control, Risk Management and Auditing.
Extensive in-depth knowledge of different financial markets and the products traded on them, with analyses of the characteristics of the products, valuation methods and the risks involved.
The programme also studies the practical knowledge and tools required to apply different styles of investing and financing, from the most traditional to the most innovative.
It is a 550-hour programme over 15 months, on Thursdays and Fridays from 18:00 h to 21:15 h, and Saturdays from 10:00 h to 13:15 h.
