Instituto BME, BME's training centre, has joined forces with the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and Ironia to create a Quantitative Finance Classroom. Enrique Castellanos, Director of Instituto BME, took part in the signing of the agreement, which was held on 26th June at the UAM's Rectorate building.
This collaboration seeks to promote specialised training in the financial sector through training programmes that help to foster talent, generate technical skills and update the knowledge of professionals in the sector.
‘The financial sector is one of the sectors with the greatest need for continuous training, which is why initiatives like this one are so important. The new Aula UAM-BME-Ironia in Quantitative Finance will precisely address emerging trends and the latest innovations in the financial world,’ explained Enrique Castellanos.
Isabel Alonso, Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Continuing Education at the UAM; Fidel Rodríguez, Director General of the UAM Foundation (FUAM), and José Antonio Esteban, Managing Director of Ironia Fintech, were present at the event, along with the Director of BME's training centre.
Quantitative finance, which will be the focus of the training programmes in this new Classroom, is a key field for developing talent in the era of financial digitalisation. This learning space will provide students with the necessary tools to face the challenges of the sector and take advantage of opportunities for personal growth.
Instituto BME, which has welcomed more than 137,500 students over the past 33 years, has collaboration agreements with institutions in Spain and Latin America. Its teaching staff are experts in market matters and have extensive teaching experience. Instituto BME's courses are aimed at market professionals, regulatory bodies, private investors, students and, in general, anyone interested in entering or deepening their knowledge of the world of finance.
