BME's participation in this event is strategic, as it reinforces its position as a key player in the financing of start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs in an environment where innovation and capital converge. Jesús González Nieto, Managing Director of BME Growth and BME Scaleup, took part in the panel discussion entitled ‘Public and Market Financing: Historic Opportunity to Transform the Productive Fabric’.
In this panel, together with leading industry representatives such as Guillermo Jiménez (AXIS), Vanessa Servera (ICF), Borja Cabezón (ENISA) and Ana Cebrián (COFIDES), and moderated by Miguel Vicente (Tech Barcelona), Gozalez highlighted the role of BME as an essential platform for scaling companies through its financing. This is evident in the figures, as of November 2024, the companies listed on BME Growth and BME Scaleup had raised more than €530 million through 138 capital increases, reaffirming their importance as a driver of business growth.
For BME, being present at Tech Spirit Barcelona not only means connecting with innovation leaders, but also strengthening the link between the technology sector and the capital markets, which is key to the sustainable development of the Spanish business ecosystem.
