The event was inaugurated by the CEO of BME, Juan Flames, together with the President of CEPYME, Gerardo Cuerva, and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, Carlos Cuerpo. During the opening, the fundamental role of SMEs in the Spanish economy and the need for effective tools for their financing and development were highlighted.
As part of the event, the panel “Financing: a springboard for the growth of my business” took place, in which leading experts in the sector participated, Jesús González Nieto stressed the advantages of resorting to the markets to obtain financing. He explained that small and medium-sized companies can access solutions tailored to their needs through BME Scaleup and BME Growth, two platforms designed to facilitate their expansion and consolidation. In addition, at earlier stages, companies can be trained and prepared in the pre-market environment training environment, EPM.
The CEPYME500 initiative offers selected companies a series of key benefits, such as greater visibility, access to financing and support for their business growth, contributing to the consolidation of the Spanish business fabric.
The event concluded with a speech by Antonio Garamendi, President of the CEOE, who highlighted the importance of the business ecosystem and the boost that CEPYME500 provides to Spanish SMEs to help them grow and become more competitive.
