BANCO DE GALICIA

Profile

This bank was created on December 27, 1918 as Viña Aranda y
Compañía. In 1920, it changed its name to Banco Viñas Aranda and in
1958 to Banco de Vigo Viñas Aranda. In 1957 it became Banco de Vigo,
merging with Banco de Lugo and in 1973 becoming Banco de Galicia.

The bank operates almost exclusively on Galicia.

Since 1969 it has been part of the Banco Popular Group.
