ENCE ENERGIA Y CELULOSA

Profile

ENCE's business model is based on the sustainable use of natural resources for the eco-efficient production of pulp and renewable energy.

With an installed capacity of 1.2 million tons spread over its two biomills in northwestern Spain, Navia and Pontevedra, Ence is one of the leading European hardwood pulp producers (BHKP) based on eucalyptus wood locally procured in the surroundings of its biomills from certified responsible sources, which guarantee a sustainable forest management.

Through its 51% stake in Magnon Green Energy, ENCE is also the largest generator of agro-forestry biomass renewable energy in Spain, with an installed capacity of 266 MW distributed in eight independent plants located in the south of Spain.

These are two independent and complementary businesses. While pulp production is a cyclical business, renewable energy generation is a regulated business that provides greater stability and visibility to revenues.
