Open Positions

Where are BME's offices located?

The BME headquarters are located in Plaza de la Lealtad 1. Our second location in Madrid is in Calle Tramontana 2 bis, Las Rozas, where most positions are based, and we also have offices in Barcelona (Paseo de Gracia 19), Bilbao (Calle Jose Mª Olabarri 1) and Valencia (Calle del Pintor Sorolla 23).

As part of SIX Group we also have offices in Switzerland, Poland, UK, France and other international locations.

Do you offer the opportunity to work remotely?

Our employees can benefit from our Hybrid Working Model, which allows up to 40% remote work (depending on type of work and team arrangements), with office days including either Mondays or Fridays. Full-remote working is not allowed.

Do you require a good level of English?

Yes, very good communication skills in English (verbal & written) are required for most positions. As an international company most of our employees work in global teams and communicate in English with colleagues and clients from different countries. Additional languages might be required depending on the position/location.

How is the application process structured and when do I know if I got accepted?

  1. Application: We only accept direct applications on our website, which should include a CV in English.
  2. Profile review: Our Talent Aquisition team will review, together with the responsible Hiring Manager, your application, based on the alignment with our values and the qualifications needed for success in the role. The decision to move forward or withdraw from the process will be communicated by telephone or email.
  3. Interview: If your application is successfully reviewed, we will invite you to a first interview with the hiring manager where you will learn more about the role. Expect questions about your skills, work history, and situational scenarios. Generally, the process will consist of 2 to 3 interviews. Depending on the position, they will take place online or in person. For some positions, it´s also possible that you will receive a use case to prepare or an individual assessment.
  4. Offer: If you successfully complete the interview process, we will send you a job offer and discuss the important points of the contract.
  5. Welcome: During your first days at BME you will receive a welcoming orientation that introduces you to our culture, policies, and team dynamics. You will meet your new colleagues and receive information about your role, tools and responsibilities. There is also a global Welcome Day for all new colleagues to get to know each other better. The Welcome Day takes place in Zurich for the Swiss based employees. Other locations are invited to join remotely.

Do you accept spontaneous applications? Can I apply if I don't find an open position matching my profile?

Unfortunately, unsolicited applications cannot be considered. Applications are only accepted for open and advertised positions via the careers website.

Internship Program

What are the main characteristics of internships at BME?

  • You need to be studying in a university or Business School that allows you to sign a University Agreement (convenio de estudios). It is not possible to apply for an internship if you have already completed your studies. We expect an availability of 6 months period that could be extended.
  • Internships could be part time or full time; 5 hours/day, 6 hours/ day or 7,5 hours/day.
  • Internships will receive monetary compensation.

Internships will follow the same rule for hybrid model: 3 days at the office and 2 days from home per week.

When are the internship positions published?

Our internship positions are continuously published on our careers page throughout the year. There are therefore no fixed application deadlines. It's best to check our careers page regularly to make sure you don't miss out on any positions.

What kind of projects or tasks can I expect during my internship?

It all depends on the area in which you are doing your internship. We offer internships in a wide variety of departments at BME. However, it is always important to us that you learn as much as possible and gain meaningful insight into the working world.

How long does it take to receive feedback on my application as an intern?

The timeline can vary, but we aim to respond to all applications within two weeks. The entire process, from application to offer, typically takes about four to six weeks.

Is it possible to apply for more than one internship position?

We always recommend focusing on one position. Nevertheless, it may be possible to be equally interested in different tracks. If you are applying for more than one position, it is best to explain this in your cover letter. Either way, we will process your application for only one position based on our evaluation.

Is there a mentoring program for interns?

We offer various coaching and mentoring opportunities for all our young talents at BME. However, you will not have your own dedicated “mentor” in the internship right from the start. Your supervisor will act as your line manager and take on this role indirectly.

Are there flexible working hours for interns?

The BME Hybrid Working Model also applies to interns. Nevertheless, we recommend that especially young talents spend more time in the office to take advantage of the opportunity to learn from colleagues and build their network within BME.

Are there opportunities for a full-time position after the internship?

The internship is a fixed-term employment contract, and there is generally no plan for subsequent employment. Nevertheless, there are often possibilities for permanent positions after the internship. This makes it all the more important to expand your network during the internship. Around 40% of interns continue with us directly after their internship.

Is there fixed duration of the internship program?

Our internship positions are offered for a minimum of 6 months, and the maximum duration depends on the university’s criteria (usually between 9 months and 1 year).

Can the internship last longer than 12 months?

No, an internship position is typically not offered for longer than 12 months. The maximum duration depends on the university’s criteria (usually between 9 months and 1 year).

Graduate Program

When does the Graduate Program start and when does it end?

The application process starts at the beginning of March. The Graduate Program itself starts on October 1st and runs for 18 months.

What are the requirements for applying to a Graduate Program?

In order to apply, you need to have completed (or to be completed in the summer) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a university or a university of applied sciences. Besides that, initial work experience (e.g. Internships) and English at level C1 are required. Furthermore, a valid work permit for the specific country you are applying to is a must. Additional specific requirements per graduate track are mentioned in the job advertisement.

How is the application process for the Graduate Program structured and when do I know if I got accepted?

The application process is divided into three parts. It starts with applying for the Graduate Program and if your CV matches our expectations, you will be asked to do an online assessment. Followed by this you will be invited to an onsite interview and case study with your future mentor and the Program Manager or a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The last step is to take part in a group assessment together with other candidates. Around mid-June you will be informed by us if you got chosen for the Graduate Program.

What documents do I need for my application as a Graduate?

Please upload a well-structured CV, your university certificates, and reference letters from previous employers. A motivation letter is not mandatory but can be advantageous in our decision-making process.

Is there a mentoring program for Graduates?

We offer various coaching and mentoring opportunities for all our young talents at BME. Each Graduate is assigned an experienced mentor who will accompany you throughout the duration of the program. Normally, your first placement will be in the same field as your mentor. In addition, he or she will support you in your career development and help you build your network within BME.

What benefits does BME offer for Graduates?

In addition to the Hybrid Working Model, as a graduate you will have a personal mentor who will provide you with optimal support in your career development for your chosen track. You can also gain your first experience abroad for three months in the “International Assignment”. We also offer various training courses through our SIX Academy and Instituto BME to enhance your professional skills. Collaboration is one of our core values, and we live it! Is it possible to apply for more than one Graduate position?

We always recommend focusing on one position. Nevertheless, it may be possible to be equally interested in different tracks. So, if you are applying for more than one position, it is best to explain this in your motivation letter. Either way, we will then process your application for only one track based on our evaluation. In May, you will be informed if you have been chosen for the Graduate Program.

How can I prepare myself for the Online Assessment? Are there any tools to practice?

No preparation is required for the assessments. The content of each case study is tailored to the corresponding track. You will receive further information on this during the application process.

Are there opportunities for a full-time position after the Graduate Program?

Full-time positions may be considered towards the end of your studies or contract; However, this depends on current demand.
