Green bonds are the best-known face of sustainability in the Fixed Income markets, but they are not the only instruments available to investors in this field. Green bonds, those that are earmarked to projects related to environmental protection, are included in the category of bonds with ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) criteria.
Spain registers new growth in sustainable financing in 2024. With a total volume of 65.705 billion euros, sustainable financing increased by 8% compared to 2023, according to the annual report by OFISO (Spanish Observatory of Sustainable Financing).
Sustainable bonds, which represent 37% of the total sustainable financing, reached a total of 24.151 billion euros.
