Bell Ring for gender equality

BME advocates for gender equality in the performance of its daily work and supports different projects to spread its importance. One of them is the Bell Ring for Gender Equality, in which more than 80 markets from around the world participate. The initiative, organised by BME and by the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact, is part of the international movement "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality", which is promoted by Sustainable Stock Exchanges and the United Nations Global Compact.

The encounter, more and more multitudinous every year, seeks to send the message that gender equality is essential to boost the world economy and highlight the importance of the private sector in this Sustainable Development Goal (no. 5).

The 2024 “Ring the Bell for Gender equality“ will take place on 8th March 2024.
