Enrique Riquelme during the traditional ringing of the bell
BME welcomed Cox today. Enrique Riquelme, Executive Presidente of the company, and Ignacio Moreno, CEO, were accompanied by David Jiménez-Blanco, Vice-Chairman of BME, at the traditional ringing of the bell at the Palacio de la Bolsa de Madrid.
The company debuted at a price of 10.23 euros per share, which implies a stock market valuation of 805 million euros.
It is the third company to join the main market of the Spanish stock exchange so far this year and the second this week, following the IPOs of Puig in May and Inmocemento (a spin-off of FCC) on Tuesday 12 last.
“We welcome Cox to the stock exchange and celebrate its incorporation to the market. With them, the Spanish stock market gains in sectoral diversity and the company will now have the reputation, access to financing and all the other advantages of being a listed company. We wish the company the best of luck in the new journey it is embarking on today”, explains David Jiménez-Blanco, Vice-Chairman of BME.
Bjørn Sibbern, Global Head Exchanges and Executive Board Member at SIX, said: “With Cox's listing, there are now 26 companies listed on the Spanish financial markets in 2024, including the main market and the expansion markets (BME Growth and BME Scaleup). This week we have welcome three new additions to the SIX markets: Inmocemento, Sunrise today in Switzerland and Cox in Spain. It is great news that the pace of new companies joining the markets remains at this level, which demonstrates the role of the stock exchange in meeting the needs of companies in all circumstances”.
The company has begun trading under the ticker symbol “COXG”.
