BME provides connectivity and hosting services for market participants that provide maximum performance and availability, while delivering the lowest level of latency. BME offers a range of options, including, Co-Location, London Hub, Proximity, and Inntech Connectivity, to meet individual client needs.
BME offers its clients connectivity and hosting services with the opportunity to connect to BME’s DPC through low-latency optical fiber lines, thus ensuring the fastest access to BME’s systems from different locations.
BME manages three services for connecting to BME. Each of the services offers the lowest possible latency from different locations, seeking to meet the needs of different types of clients.
The BME Co-Location service is provided at the BME DPC in Las Rozas, offering the shortest connection distance to trading and information platforms.
The BME Proximity service, hosting, and connection offered in a DPC managed by a third party, is intended for clients requiring low-latency services, although the latency is higher than that offered in the BME Co-Location service.
BME London HUB, a connection service (without hosting) from two data centers managed by external companies in London (Equinix/Interxion), aimed at clients with a presence in the City of London.
Under the BME Co-Location service, hosting is offered in 7kVA racks and connection to the market with bandwidths of 1GB (copper) or 10GB (fiber).
With BME Proximity, the client has different rack capacities (3.6kVA, 5kVA, 7kVA), as well as the option of 10MB, 100MB, or 1GB bandwidth connections.
The BME London Hub service offers clients connectivity (without hosting) with bandwidth options of 2MB, 10MB, 50MB, 100MB, 200MB.
BME Co-Location uses a proprietary CPD that is managed by our staff and located in the same room as the market servers. In addition, all infrastructure from the network electronics to the power and cooling systems is redundant. The infrastructure and technology ensure equal access conditions for all entities.
BME Proximity is an external DPC located 11 kilometers away from BME’s DPC in Las Rozas and is connected through a redundant, low-latency line (83 microseconds).
BME London Hub consists of redundant international lines, London-Madrid, as well as an Equinix/Interxion interconnection in London, all of which are underpinned globally by our communications provider’s network.
