BME Collaborates With APIE in its Training Sessions for Journalists

BME continues to collaborate with the Association of Economic Information Journalists (APIE) in its cycle of training courses for its members. The company has participated in its last two training sessions, which are part of a cycle of courses focused on the search for relevant information, use, and management of data in various fields of the journalistic sector.

A couple of months ago, the main classroom of Instituto BME, BME's training centre, hosted the session Analysis of income statements, attende dby representatives of Bestinver, to explain the analysis ofb anking values, and Santander, which explained the work of the investor relations team. Enrique Castellanos, director of Instituto BME, welcomed the attendees and emphasised BME's commitment to financial education. Forthis, quality financial information is essential, as in many cases it is the access point to capital markets for retail investors.

This same week, APIE held a new training session, which again had the collaboration of BME. Álvaro Castro, director of primary markets at BME, opened the session and explained the steps that companies wishing to go public must take and the procedures for incorporation into BME's growth markets (BME Scaleup and BME Growth). The training session was held at Alantra's headquarters, which explained the process of going public from the perspective of an investment bank, and also featured Cox, who shared their experience as a company starting to trade in the market.

Founded in 1973, APIE is a non-profit professional organisation that seeks to ensure the independence and objectivity of informational content, defend the freedom in the professional practise of its members, promote informational transparency of institutions and companies, and develop activities that expand the knowledge and training of its members.
