Elevating Financial Culture and Training Future Experts

BME contributes to financial education and training with the aim of improving both the financial literacy of the general public as well as training professionals and specialists working in the stock market and investment worlds.

Committed to Financial Literacy

BME channels our commitment to financial education through our own training center, the BME Institute. This company offers courses aimed at all types of clients in order to help in achieving a better understanding of finance and markets.

BME Institute

The BME Institute’s training programs are aimed at professionals in the financial sector and its regulatory bodies, individual investors, students, and, in general, anyone interested in entering or deepening their knowledge of the world of finance.

Braindex

To complement our range of training, in September 2021, we launched Braindex a 100% online educational environment offering courses on financial markets and products, disclosure, technology and sector-specific regulation, and with 97 courses at different levels it has now has increased the number of its partners.

Other Initiatives

In addition, BME participates in conferences, trade fairs, and other activities related to the securities market, as well as educational initiatives of various kinds, such as the Economics Olympiads or the Inspiring Girls finance forum.

We also collaborate in the “Madrid, un libro abierto” (Madrid, an open book) program run by the City Council. Specifically, we develops the “The World of the Stock Market” module, which teaches young people about the fundamentals of financial markets with a focus on the equity market.

The BME Institute has also launched the audiobook "El Bosque de la Economía". Aimed at children from six to ten years of age, this educational project consists of a set of children’s stories that teach essential concepts and values related to economics, such as the meaning of money, savings, public spending, social services, and equal opportunities.

Financial Education Day

During the first week of October, Spain celebrates Financial Education Day, an initiative promoted internationally by a number of institutions, in which BME actively participates.

In recent years, the BME Institute has held three webinars during Financial Education Day related to the theme chosen for the year by Finance for All. It is customary for the Madrid Stock Exchange to ring the bell on Financial Education Day.
